Holy Cow
India made an indelible impression upon me. The colours, smells and heat were all overwhelming, inescapable. The extremes of beauty and decay were a constant reminder of the cycle of life.
Here the brahamas are in harmony in the centre of chaos. Whether they sit in the middle of hell traffic in Delhi, or bathe in the holy river of the Ganges, they remain serene and contemplative.
In Dharamsala, I discovered a paint medium used by the local artists of Buddhist Thangka painting. The brilliant pigments reflect the sensations and intensity of India, much like the magnificent hues of saries under a intense sun.
