Workshops and Classes

Niina Chebry teaches a variety of painting classes in community centres and at her Vancouver studio.  These are generally small classes where she is able to spend quality time with each student. Courses are modified to benefit the needs of the participants where clear demonstrations and instruction on theory, practice and composition are provided. Painting breakthroughs and discovery are highly encouraged.

PARKER STUDIO COURSES

Sometimes you might just need a little coaching on a painting you have been working on. Sometimes you need a little KICK to get started. (is that box of paints you received last Christmas collecting dust?)
Wherever you are at in your artistic endeavors, you are welcome to explore in a relaxed and MOTIVATED atmosphere.

DRAWING INTENSIVE

Specific exercises in observation and sketching can greatly improve your confidence and enjoyment in drawing. Here you will have the opportunity to draw from a range subject matter. Specific techniques with mediums such as pencil, charcoal and ink will explored as well as perspective and composition.
supply list:
  • a sketchbook- one that is large enough for you to feel comfortable sketching on location  (approx. 12"x16" or smaller)
  • HB, 2B and 6B pencils
  • free flow ink pens (black)
  • a pad of newsprint (24" x 30") or larger

Create your own class:

If you would like to set up your own schedule, classes can be arranged with a 10 student maximum. These are based on 2 or 3 hour sessions. Times and dates are flexible within a 2 month period. Five session periods must be paid in full at the first class.
